We're particularly pleased at how well the house fits into the neighborhood. We proved that you can add space and livability without looming over the neighbors, which is a big issue in Bouldin, where so many houses are being altered or replaced. We stopped on the way out of the neighborhood to snap a shot that sums up the issue for many. -Turns out, you CAN have enough space and express your individual style without ruining the neighborhood for everyone else!
This addition/remodel added a new second floor, along with a great upper level screened porch with cool views and breezes, a new kitchen, an enlarged family room, a downstairs master suite, and a future phase will add a ground floor screened porch. With all of that, we maintained the integrity and wonderful character of the original 500 s.f. cottage.
