This was a fun one! We took a Hyde Park home and lifted it ten feet, then built a new first floor below the old house.

About Us

We're a mom and pop architectural practice in Austin, Texas, established in 1989.

We work in residential Remodeling, Infill housing and other design/consultation services focused on problem-solving and sustainability (both environmental and financial!)

Chris Allen is a registered architect (Texas registration #13254) and a UT Austin Architecture graduate (1987, BArch) with experience in design and construction going back to the early 80's. His first job in Austin was at Featherlite Precast Concrete- which 25 years later would become the site of our Chestnut Commons project.

Gina Allen's degrees in Real Estate and Urban Land Development and Marketing (BA '84, UT Austin) focused on real estate development. Her experience in development feasibility analysis and design gives our micro-firm a unique set of skills.

Residents of the vibrant Rosedale neighborhood in Central Austin since 1988, Gina and Chris have both been long-time advocates for the neighborhood, working with developers to make Rosedale one of Austin's most livable neighborhoods
